Privacy Policy – X-Track

This Privacy Policy describes how DACK Systems, Inc. ("we", "our", or "us") handles information in the X-Track mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers. All data generated by the App remains on your device or on the X-Track hardware device you own.

The following information is processed locally on your device:

• Bluetooth device identifiers – The names and MAC addresses of paired TPMS sensors and X-Track hardware devices, stored locally to maintain your configuration.
• Sensor readings – Tire pressure, temperature, and signal strength data received from TPMS sensors in real time. This data is not persisted beyond the current session.
• App settings – Your preferred language, measurement units, and alarm thresholds, stored locally using your device's standard storage (SharedPreferences).
• Diagnostic logs – The App records operational logs locally on your device to help diagnose issues. Logs are never transmitted automatically.

2. Location Permission

On devices running Android 11 or earlier, Android requires the Location permission in order to scan for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices. The App requests this permission solely to discover nearby X-Track hardware — it does not access, record, or transmit your geographic location.

On Android 12 and later, Bluetooth-specific permissions are used instead and no location permission is required.

3. Firmware Update Check

The App periodically contacts our server (systemesdack.ca) to check whether a firmware update is available for your X-Track hardware. This request contains no personal information — only the current firmware version string is compared against the latest published version.

4. Diagnostic Log Sharing

The App includes a "Send logs" button. Pressing it opens your device's standard share sheet, allowing you to send the local log file to a destination of your choosing (e.g. email, messaging app). Logs are only transmitted when you explicitly initiate this action. If you choose to send logs to our support team, we use the information solely to diagnose the reported issue and do not share it with third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can remove it at any time by uninstalling the App or by clearing the App's data in your device settings. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored configuration and logs.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
